Tulip Day 2023; 21 January

Tulip time is coming again!

On the third Saturday in January, we celebrate National Tulip Day, the start of the (cut) tulip season. This year, the tenth picking garden will be held. The theme is 'Typical Dutch'. When you think of the Netherlands, you think of tulips. In the middle of Amsterdam city centre, tens of thousands of Dutch people and tourists will make it a typically Dutch celebration. Everyone is welcome to pick a free bunch of tulips, a unique experience for young and old.
